We bought the cottage in early 2005 as a part conversion - fortunately it did not require too much work and was already the home to a young French family. Our main concern was to create immediate external space so the 'terrace' was one of our first projects. The cottage has been furnished from scratch so most items are relatively new since we only began inviting others to holiday there from spring 2010.
Downstairs is open plan on three levels with the stairs leading off from the entrance area.
It's a roomy and comfortable cottage. Although we spent the first year working we've been 'getting out more' lately and we still can't believe the wealth and beauty of the surrounding countryside.
The pace of life is slow and laid back and the locals are friendly. It's a fantastic place to
chill out...
The cottage is set on a hill, therefore the back garden is above the house! It's about the size of a football pitch and roughly grassed.
On the same level as the cottage is a terrace where we tend to have breakfast and barbeques in the evenings.
